Lars Vilks, the Swedish artist, controversial in certain circles because of his drawing of Mohammed as a roundabout dog, underwent yet another Muslim attack at a lecture at Uppsala University. On 21 February. Film clips can be watched here and here. Vilks held a lecture on freedom of speech in art. It was the Islamic Culture Society and Karlstad’s Young Muslims that on beforehand had objected to this lecture.
When Vilks showed a picture that was controversial for some of these persons in the audience, this group of them raised and started to scan “Allah akbar” and threw eggs and snowballs at Vilks. The police acted in a very lenient way, which you can see in the video clip. The control of the audience before the lecture was lax, no search of the attendants, according to an eye-witness. No policemen were even standing at the entrance door. Afterwards the public relations officer from Varmland’s police force stated: “We have identified all the persons, but have not yet made up our minds if the event will lead to a report”.
Another eye-witness: ”It was very alarming to see the police that gawky not doing anything with these assailants that assaulted Vilks. After the lecture the Muslims stood completely indifferent. The racist card did its job. One of the Muslims shouted ”you take us because you are a racist” and then the policeman ignored it all”.
As late as January three men of Somali descent, that had planned to kill Vilks, were acquitted. In the light of this, shouldn’t the police be somewhat more attentive?
Swedish media were very careful never to reveal that it was Muslims that interrupted the Uppsala lecture. The official video clip had been pixled to conceal the descent of the perpetrators. Vilks himself wrote about it on his blog (here, in Swedish, though) and an egg that wasn’t crashed was turned into Mohammed.

This is so sad. Thanks for keeping us informed.
That is wwhy it is so hard to constantly write about all the insanities that are going on in this country.
We have the same situation here in the UK. The BBC claims that is presents news in an impartial, unbiased manner in accordance with its policy of neutrality. This ‘neutrality’, however, allows the broadcaster to present ‘sensitive’ issues (ie, islam, muslims) in a cleansed, whitewashed manner which handily prevents the general public from discovering the religious affiliation of certain troublemakers.
According to Paul Weston, the Freedom Party, there will be a civil war in the future in Great Britain. Sweden will follow in Britian’s footprints.
It’s a pity that Vilks has to endure this type of thing every time he appears in public.
Cavatus,
Can you write a post explaining what is the ideology that drives the current Swedish government?
Who are the political leaders and thinkers in charge of Sweden?
Why do so many Swedish people do nothing to stop the destruction of the country?
Why do so many Swedish people vote for the party that is destroying the country?
Are the politicians who are destroying Sweden ethnically Germanic Swedish?
Dear Phil, Your questions are highly relevant and I am not sure that I can serve 100% correct answers. You see, these questions are always being discussed on dissident blogs, but traits can be discerned. I will save your questions and try to answer them as thoroughly as is possible. Perhaps commentators here can contribute with their own speculations.
Phil,
I will try to give you some short answers and then maybe others can expand on them:
1. What is the ideology that drives the current Swedish government?
On the American political spectrum, I would say that they are close to the left wing of the Democratic party.
2. Who are the political leaders and thinkers in charge of Sweden?
All the political parties are controlled by a few individuals in the top. The regular members of parliament, or the equivalent of congressmen and senators in the US, have zero power. There are no “thinkers” in the sense that the word would be understood in the US that have any influence. Rather, the sitting elite hold certain views and opinions and state funded academics are used to produce “research” that supports this paradigm. If they present any other views, they are cut off from funding and never heard of again.
3. Why do so many Swedish people do nothing to stop the destruction of the country?
This is, as Cavatus points out, a matter of considerable debate among dissidents. The majority view seems to be that the population has been mislead by the journalists and political parties that have worked together to hide the real effects of massive third world immigration. I agree with this, but am also of the opinion that the picture presented by the media for many years now have been so obviously false that any reasonable and responsible person should have reacted a long time ago.
4. Why do so many Swedish people vote for the party that is destroying the country?
There are a total of 8 parties in parliament and 7 of these more or less support the current immigration policy. Regarding the reason why 94% votes for these 7 parties, please see point 3. above.
5, Are the politicians who are destroying Sweden ethnically Germanic Swedish?
Yes.
I don’t really pity Vilks, I mean he is just as bad as the guy who burned the Koran. They are making a bad situation worse, all under the guise of “Freedom of speech”. All they want to do is to prove that muslims are vicious because they know the news media will only focus on the minority segments that are violent rather than the majority that is too peaceful to interest the news.
If Lars Vilks is going to flaunt and basically brag about disrespecting a religion for no other reason to than to cause problems, quite honestly, I can’t bring myself to care about his well being. It has nothing to do with religious beliefs…I just can’t stand people who instigate problems that could have detrimental effects on our soldiers.
Living in a country of freedom of speech implies that there always is a risk that you become offended. That is what we have to learn to stand in order to keep this precious gem as is freedom of speech. Don’t mix these things together.
